Hey friends –
This morning I woke up a little earlier than usual and noticed the sun wasn’t shining through my bedroom windows as brightly as it had been. A sobering thought hit me: summer is almost over. The days are getting shorter. 😱
Immediately I thought — I haven’t done anything all year.
Which, of course, is false.
I’ve actually done a lot. Lately, I’ve been juggling four “jobs” (none of which are really paying me right now — but that’s a different problem), marathon training, and an endless list of ideas I never seem to get to.
On my eternal quest to find more time in a day, I picked up Make Time: How to Focus on What Matters Every Day by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky.
Ok, it’s not rocket science… but it does have some good tips. More importantly, reading it made me pause and ask a question I can’t get out of my head: Make time… for what?
In this minisode, I share where that question came from, how it’s showing up in my life, and the simple experiment I’m trying over the next couple of weeks to figure out what’s actually worth my time.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re busy all the time but not sure it’s adding up to what matters, maybe you’ll want to try it with me.
Love,
M
P.S. I’ve kept this short and sweet because… who has time, right? 😬
